Academic Break Airport Shuttles

To help reduce costs for travel during academic breaks, the Campus Area Bus Service (CABS), in coordination with Undergraduate Student Government (USG), will provide a free shuttle for students, faculty and staff between Ohio State's Columbus campus and John Glenn International Airport for the 2024-2025 academic year.

On campus, shuttles will pick-up from the Ohio Union loop (12th Avenue side) on the hour. At John Glenn International Airport, shuttles will drop-off on the departure level and pick-up on the baggage claim/ground transportation level in the commercial transportation area and same area as parking shuttles. For the return trip to campus, drop-offs will be on Woodruff Avenue at College Road and the Ohio Union southbound bus stop on College Road.

Lost and Found

If you have left any personal items on a campus bus, please contact the TTM office at 614-292-7433. Our office hours are 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. You also may send an email to ttminfo@osu.edu with a description of the item and any additional information (bus number, route, date, etc.) that would help us locate your item.

Items left on buses that are not retrieved immediately will be taken to the Transportation office the day the item was lost. Items will be held for 4 weeks.

TTM is not responsible for lost items.

Riding the Bus During Inclement Weather

The safety of the campus community is our number one priority. In the event of severe weather, Ohio State’s Department of Public Safety actively monitors and shares significant updates with the university community. If a tornado warning is identified for the Columbus campus, the Buckeye Alert System automatically sends severe weather alerts to students, faculty and staff. An expiration time for the tornado warning is included in that alert. Information also will be shared via the Ohio State app and Twitter @OSU_EMFP

During a tornado warning, Campus Area Bus Service (CABS) will suspend all routes, and drivers are trained to proceed immediately to the next stop with shelter. Passengers should immediately seek shelter in a nearby building or low-lying area, when possible, and remain sheltered-in-place until the tornado warning has expired. Drivers will not resume their routes until the tornado warning has expired.

Campus Transit Lab

Through the Campus Transit Lab (CTL), CABS serves as a living laboratory for transit research, education, and outreach to the university community. The CTL collects data on a campus bus system that is large and complex enough to emulate urban-wide systems but is sufficiently confined in scale and geographic context to allow an understanding of system components and interactions. For more information, visit transitlab.osu.edu.
